About this service

We offer the following services: Providing “true copies” of documents, statutory declarations, and change of name deed polls.

Providing “true copies” of documents

You may be asked to provide “true copies” of certain documents (birth certificates/marriage certificates etc.) for use abroad or for certain types of applications. We can provide witnessed, certified and stamped copies of these documents for you which can be classed as “true copies” if you provide us with the original document.

 

Please note that original documents MUST be provided to utilise this service.

Statutory declarations

When submitting certain types of applications, you may be required to produce a statutory declaration (to confirm for example – that you have not been married previously or perhaps to sponsor someone from abroad).  A statutory declaration, once completed, will need to be signed in front of a witness to give it legal authority.

 

We can witness your signature or prepare the documents depending on your needs.

 

Depending on the type of declaration, we are usually able to prepare the document within one hour.

 

Change of name deed polls

 

If you wish to legally change your name for any reason, we can assist in the creation of a “Change of name deed”. Once the deed is prepared, it will need to be witnessed and counter-signed to give it legal effect.

 

Our solicitors are always available during office hours and advanced booking is not always necessary.
