Daniel Rajah is the Managing Partner of Ashton Ross Law and a highly experienced solicitor with over 15 years’ experience in the legal industry. Having trained and practised at leading City-based law firms, Daniel brings extensive expertise and strategic leadership to the firm.
As Managing Partner, Daniel is responsible for the day-to-day operations of Ashton Ross Law, ensuring the consistent delivery of high-quality legal services across immigration, family, and litigation matters. He plays a central role in the firm’s strategic planning, client service standards, staff development, and the promotion of a culture built on transparency, accountability, and professionalism.
In addition to overseeing the firm, Daniel actively supports the legal teams on complex and high-risk cases. His leadership style places strong emphasis on clear communication and accessibility, ensuring clients have direct contact with their caseworkers under his guidance and receive practical, responsive legal advice.
Daniel also serves as the firm’s Compliance Officer for Legal Practice (COLP) and Compliance Officer for Finance and Administration (COFA). In these roles, he ensures full compliance with Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) requirements, overseeing risk management, regulatory compliance, and financial governance. His compliance work plays a key role in safeguarding the firm’s ethical standards and operational integrity.
Alongside his work in private practice, Daniel has a strong commitment to public service and access to justice. He previously worked as an independent mental health advocate for the national mental health charity Mind, where he supported individuals with severe mental health difficulties and represented them at Tribunals to ensure fair and effective presentation of their cases.
Daniel continues to provide pro bono legal advice and assistance to several charities, including Westminster Citizens Advice Bureau and the Iraqi Welfare Association, and also provides financial support to Royal Trinity Hospice.
Throughout his career, Daniel has acted in numerous complex and high-profile matters, some of which have attracted media attention. Notable career highlights include:
- Representing an international cricket captain before the Court of Arbitration for Sport in Lausanne, Switzerland
- Acting in the defence of a widely reported gang-related murder case
- Successfully defending a client in a high-value confiscation case involving multiple Rolex watches
- Overturning the refusal of an asylum claim involving organised crime and targeted assassinations
- Negotiating and settling a complex copyright dispute involving a globally recognised car brand
